The Betar Movement is a world Zionist youth movement founded 85 years ago by Ze'ev Jabotinsky. Betar members played important roles in the creation of Israel. Today the Betar Movement is active in many world branches and is involved in Jewish and Zionist activism.
Recently, Betar South Africa ran an ideology and leadership training seminar for its bogrim on the beautiful Uvongo campsite. The event was attended by Betarim from South Africa, Australia and Israel and focused planning for the coming year.

Shnat Hachshara of Betar is a selective scholarship program designed for youth leaders from around the world. The program has a strong focus on education, self-education and the acquisition of life-long leadership skills. Last week 24 Betarim graduted the 2010 Shnat program. Here's their video clip
7 Betarim of Betar Uruguay made Alyiah to Israel! In 2008 the seven came to Israel as Shnatim at Shnat Betar. They are going to stay at Ulpan in Kibutz Maagan Michael and then join the IDF and academy. Betar sends warmest wishes to the Betarim who left everything behind and made Alyiah out of pure Zionism and love of Israel.

Dozens of Betarim participated at the official memorial service of the late Rosh Betar Zeev Jabotinsky. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Shimon Peres and members of the Knesset were on-hand at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem to commemorate the 70th Hebrew anniversary of the great Zionist visionary and founder of the Zionist Revisionist movement. On behalf of the government, Netanyahu laid a wreath at his grave.
