Former Clevelander Returns as Betar Shaliach PDF Print E-mail
Betar has just announced the appointment of Dani Horwitz, 22, to the position of Shaliach to the United States.

Betar has just announced the appointment of Dani Horwitz, 22, to the position of Shaliach to the United States. The Shaliach functions as national coordinator and programming director for the movement. He will be based in Betar's national office in South Euclid, Ohio.
Horwitz, a native Clevelander, who moved to Israel after graduating from the Fuchs Mizrachi School will now be returning for a temporary stay in Cleveland with his wife, Donna Heller of Givat Shmuel, Israel. In Israel, Horwitz pursued three years of intense Yeshiva studies and served as a sharpshooter in the IDF's Golani Brigade.

"Growing up in Cleveland, Betar was a tremendous influence on me. I am excited to give back to the community. Betar will raise the bar of Zionist activism in Cleveland and the US," says Horwitz.

Betar has been active in Cleveland since the mid-70's and has taken the leading role in many Zionist campaigns. The movement is being led today by it's long time director Dennis Seamen.
