the government of Israel and the Prime Minister, in the just war against
the evil forces that are attacking the sovereignty of the Jewish People in
our land. 2. The Oslo Accords opened the door to our enemies, and made it possible for them to operate freely against the State of Israel and its citizens. 3. Betar re-iterates the historically held position that in the Land of Israel there is a place for a Jewish State only. Any agreement which seeks to undermine the rights of the Jewish People is null and void and shall be regarded as not binding. 4. Recent events prove the correctness of the Betar way and Idea. 5. The State of Israel is a democratic state , which affords equal rights to all its citizens: Jews, Druze, Muslims and and Christians alike. As Rosh Betar Ze`ev Jabotinsky wrote in his poem `Left of the Jordan`: `There will be riches and abundance, for the Arab, the Christian and my son, because my flag is the flag of purity and honesty, which will purify both banks of the Jordan.` Betar demands that all citizens of Israel be loyal to the state and its constitution especially, especially in periods like the present time of war and danger when our enemies are rising up against us. 6. Betar supports the soldiers of the IDF, and the Israel Border Police and Police, and all the other members of the security forces who form the Iron Wall of the Jewish People and our state. 7. Betar supports the courageous citizens of Israel, from all the communities throughout the Land of Israel, who are continuing with their daily lives despite the murderous terrorist attacks directed against them. 8. In light of the revival of anti-Semitism throughout the world, Betar calls on the Jews of the Gola: A. To make Aliyah to Israel and take an active role in the physical and spiritual struggle for the Zionist idea. B. Not to bow their heads before the disgusting phenomenon of anti-Semitism, but rather to stand up and fight against it wherever it raises its foul head. 9. `On the day of service I am like a bronze staff, a block of iron in the hands of the blacksmith whose name is Zion. Use me according to your will - a sickle, a wheel or a sword.` Betar calls on its members, its graduates and its supporters, in Israel and in the Gola, to get involved in the tasks facing the Jewish People today: A. Strengthening and deepening education toward love of the Nation and Land of Israel, and strengthening the values of Judaism and Zionism. B. Strenthening the security forces of Israel in an active way through service in the regular and reserve IDF, volunteering for additional reserve duty, volunteering for the Civil Gyuard and the various first aid agencies. C. Taking part in the war against anti-Semitism throughout the world. D. Strengthening our presence in all parts of the homeland by settling in those communities which need assistance or which are facing the threat of being abandoned. 10. Betar calls on the Jewish youth in Israel and the Gola to join with us and take an active part in our just struggle. Tel Hai! Betar Eretz Yisrael Leadership World Betar Executive |
